International Orders may be subject to additional customs fees & Tariffs and the selected Courier will make contact with your to collect these payments. If you are unsure what these costs are, please visit your countries Government website & search Import Fees & Customs duty.

If you are located within the EU or USA, we Ship under DDP Shipping terms & organise your customs payments on your behalf this is totalled in your invoice under the Shipping & handling on your invoice. This ensures a smoother delivery HOWEVER the couriers may still email you to cross reference details entered on your invoices, please respond to them as quickly as you can to avoid delays or your parcel being Retuned to sender.

Rest of the world: we ship DDU shipping terms which means the courier will contact you to to collect your countries Taxes & handling fees/ Duty.

For all international orders, Customs may contact you for additional information or cross reference information to ensure the parcel is legitimate. They also may decide to perform a random inspection on your order which can require them to open the packages.

Please make a note of your courier details and your tracking numbers so you can check these against any emails you receive. If you are unsure of any emails authenticity then please get in touch with us for us to help confirm.

International Customers- There is NO VAT included on your invoice and your Tax Value will be 0 at the bottom of your invoice.

We are unable to issue VAT Refunds to International customers. This includes Channel Islands & Gibraltar. International Tax Free Shipping was abolished in 2021.

We always try and ensure we exceed our customers expectiations, however as lots of our items are bespoke made to order we are unable to refund any of the following products: Snuggle Beds, Loungers & Hybrid Lap Blankets. These items are exchange only at the buyers expense and also providing they are returned in a clean and unused condition. We are unable to exhange any bespoke order where the customer has changed their mind on a fabric the wrong colour has been ordered by the customer, as this duplicates our workload to correct. If you are ever in doubt of the fabric you have ordered please ask for additional photos of the fabrics or pipings before you place your order and we will be more than happy to help

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please contact me within 5 days of your order being received and i will be happy to help.

All Items come with a little Postcard with your invoice- on the reverse is the Care Guide or the Instuctions manual. Please try and wash as less frequently as possible. However when the time comes hand wash ideally in warm soapy water or machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees or below. Never use fabric softener as this changes the chemical composition of the fur. Once washed do not twist the fur to remove excess water, allow to dry naturally away from any heat source .Never iron or tumble dry!

During and after drying you will find that the hairs give the impression of being stuck together. Once the fur is fully dried brush the fur over gently and this will make it nice and fluffy again. I find that a tangle teaser works best but you can use any regular brush!

Each Item is 100% bespoke and hand made to your specifications, as a polite notice please only order when you are 100% certain on your fabric/ combinations. Please see my refund policy.

Order timescales will fluctuate according to how many orders are in front. I aim to complete all orers within 14 days however for a more accurate time line please see the announcement bar at the top of the website.

Although our Sausage Pits are designed for our Burrowing Dachshunds, please be aware that nothing is indestructible. The Sausage Pit takes no responsibility for any snuggle beds that have become ripped or de-fluffed regardless of timeframe after purchase and once/if this happens please remove from your dogs reach immediately.

Please follow the wash care instructions carefully. It is extremely important that our products are washed on a low heat with No Fabric softener. This changes the chemical composition of the fur and gives it a frazzled appearance. Follow the guidelines and your snuggle bed will look good as new with a little brush of the fur.
